Where do you currently work?

I am a Corporate Associate at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck.

When writing, what do you listen to?

The hum of a coffee shop. I love background noise.

If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would you choose and why?

Harriet Tubman. She emancipated herself, then risked her life repeatedly to liberate others. She fought for abolition and women’s suffrage. She even raised money to build schools and turned her home into a refuge for the sick and elderly. Her life was filled with courage and service. I’d love to hear her story firsthand.

What is the most random item on your bucket list?

To attend a game at every MLB stadium. Less for the games and more for the vibes.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be?

A business owner, likely of a smoothie shop or a Pilates studio.

What is your favorite law school memory?

After our first semester finals, a group of us went to The Buffalo for brunch. It was equal parts relief and celebration, and the moment classmates became lifelong friends.

When did you know you wanted to be a lawyer?

Eighth grade. We learned American History through a mock trial where Jefferson and Washington lost the Battle of Saratoga, and I defended them. I loved researching the law, working as a team, and talking strategy. All still applicable as a transactional lawyer.

Who do you usually call when you’re having a bad day?

I will call my family: my husband, siblings, or parents. They’ll either validate how I feel or tell me I’m wrong. I appreciate both.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Spending time with my husband and son. Most weekends you’ll find us at the park, pushing swings and discussing the news, sports, or podcasts.

What’s something you do every single day without fail?

Eat oatmeal and read the news. Coming from a family of morning people, this was the center of conversation. Still to this day, with rare exceptions, I will have oatmeal for breakfast while reading a briefing of the news.
