Civic Center EATS

If you live or work downtown Denver, you’ll be delighted that Civic Center EATS has returned on Wednesdays and Thursdays in May! The Spring season lineup runs May 14 – June 26, excluding May 28 – 29, offering twenty-eight vendors over two days.

In addition to creating a pop-up culinary experience, Civic Center Conservancy works to engage as much of the community as possible. By partnering with the Youth Employment Academy and Youth on Record, Denver-area teens are involved in various hands-on experiences. By assisting in aspects such as event logistics and guest experiences, as well as booking, producing and performing musical talent, youth participants receive exposure to the real-world implementation of entrepreneurship and event planning.

It isn’t just the Civic Center Conservancy doing more for Denver. Several vendors are enriching the community, either as non-profit social enterprises, business partners with adult culinary training programs or as solar-powered savants. For example, DIRT on the Road 1 and Ba-Nom-a-Nom 4 create employment opportunities for neurodivergent and disabled adults. The Helping Hen 5 partners with Work Options to provide culinary training for individuals who have overcome life’s challenges.

Check out Astro Coffee Van 3 for a solar-powered cup of coffee. Or, if you’re in search of well-known, Uptown & Humboldt 2 offers international fusion dishes and was voted Westword’s “Best Food Truck” in 2024.
