Denver Regional High School Mock Trial Tournament
DBA Members and volunteers met on February 7 & 8, 2025 at the Denver City and County Building for the Denver Regional High School Mock Trial Tournament. Mullen High School won the tournament. The CBA High School Mock Trial Program offers an excellent opportunity to Colorado youth to get involved in a rewarding and fun learning experience. This program is made possible because of hundreds of attorneys, paralegals and community volunteers.

Meow Wolf Member Appreciation Event
The Denver Bar Association celebrated our members at a sold-out appreciation event held at Meow Wolf on January 16. Members enjoyed appetizers and drinks at the free event and included an entry ticket to tour Meow Wolf during the event. DBA extends heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors of our inaugural Membership Appreciation event at Meow Wolf. Their generous support has enabled us to offer this event free of charge to our members, and we proudly recognize their commitment to the Denver legal community. Family Law Court Denver County
On January 21, 2025, Metro Volunteer Lawyers hosted its Family Law Court Program Permanent Orders Hearings and Client Meetings Clinic at the Denver City and County Building. We would like to thank Alan Greenberg;,Ty Johnson, Maria Roth of the Colorado State Public Defender‘s Office, Erich Bailey of the HarrisLaw Firm, and MRachel Ray, VL’s Crime Victim Attorney, for their continued work helping people in our community btart and finish their family law cases.
Estate Planning at Arvada House
On Friday, January 24th, Metro Volunteer Lawyers held our estate planning workshop at the Arvada House. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers, Katie (Koehler) Stern and Ann Stehling (both from Davis Graham & Stubbs LLP), Jennifer McGinn (McGinn law), Glen Anstine, Esq. (Employers Council), Leslie Fry (DaVita Kidney Care), and Lauren Jones (Colorado Attorney General’s Office), for helping seniors complete their documents.
Family Law Court Arapahoe County
On January 24th, Metro Volunteer Lawyers had the privilege of helping several families in Arapahoe County take the first steps in filing for divorce or allocation of parental responsibilities. We know that often, the first step is the hardest. That is why our Family Law Court Program is here to guide individuals through the process, providing compassionate and professional support every step of the way.
