Unity Dinner (f/k/a Jeffersonian Dinner)
April 24th | 6:00 p.m. | Maggiano’s Downtown
The DBA YLD is hosting its annual Unity Dinner (f/k/a Jeffersonian Dinner) to once again get to the bottom of yet another philosophical topic: Is our legal system inequitable, and if so, what, if anything, can we do to make the system more equitable?
Hungry (for food and answers) attendees will be seated at tables of 6 – 8 for a philosophical discussion over some of the best Italian food in LoDo. A moderator from the DBA YLD will be seated at each table to help guide the discussion should it stray from this year’s topic. Join us for white-tablecloth service, tasty pasta, and the most stimulating dinner conversation you’ve had this year as we litigate the degree of inequity baked into our legal system, as well as what those operating within the system can do about it.
One ticket affords a four-course dinner, including dessert, and one alcoholic beverage – and of course, access to a thoughtful discussion with some of the sharpest minds in Denver. Save your powdered wigs for a less-saucy occasion, but don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to gain and share perspective over a fantastic meal!
Pricing:
DBA Member: $35.00
Non-Member: $40.00

Who are we?
The Young Lawyers Division (“YLD”) of the Denver Bar Association. We serve young and new-to-practice attorneys in the Denver Metro Area.
What we do?
Help young and new-to-practice attorneys with professional development by: (1) expanding their professional networks and engaging with seasoned members of the bar; (2) providing free and relevant CLEs to young and new-to-practice attorneys; (3) helping young attorneys with client and business development; (4) providing activities that support work-life balance; and (5) organizing and leading effective fundraising and volunteer events supporting access-to-justice programs and nonprofits in the Denver Metro area.
Why apply?
If you are interested in serving and helping improve the Bar by providing attorneys with an environment where they can develop themselves, both personally and professionally, and have a voice in the events the DBA YLD hosts, we would love to have you on the Council. Or if you have ever thought about getting more involved with the Bar, but did not know where to start, this is a great way to get your foot in the door!
What is the commitment?
Council members are elected to 3-year terms. We meet once per month at the CBA/DBA offices (1290 Broadway, Suite 1700, Denver, CO 80203). Currently our monthly meetings occur in-person at the address listed above with a virtual Zoom option. Additionally, council members are expected to serve on at least one planning committee.
Who can apply?
Lawyers who (i) are in good standing, and (ii) have been admitted to their first bar for five years or less or are under the age of 37 (whichever occurs last).
The DBA YLD encourages applicants from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, national origin, socio-economic status, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, disability, age, veteran status, geography, political beliefs, ideology, and spiritual beliefs.
