Why did you become a lawyer?

To help individuals navigate the complex and often inaccessible aspects of legal system, while humanizing them and allowing them to tell bring their authentic self to the Courtroom.

Hiking, playing ice hockey, and cooking with my wife.

The book Pachinko by Min Jin Lee

Frederick Douglass

If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be?

A sociologist traveling the world and writing Ethnographies.

Colorado, Michigan, and Brazil

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

My first Not Guilty verdict in a solo criminal trial or graduating law school.  It is a close call.
